Mata Rindo leader Berr Delicious has told all member of Bound by Blood to leave the guild as Bound by Blood is hunted.

Reason

I went to deepling bosses and killed 2 bosses with members of 2 other guilds.  Berr says that everyone knows only Mata can hunt bosses.

I didn’t know.  For killing two bosses, I’m hunted for 500k.  I’m not paying that.

On 28th April I died.

Bound by Blood is hunted because members of my guild came to help me when I was trapped.  I’m their guild leader, what else were they going to do?

Resolution?

I tried to speak to Berr about my hunted and my guild.

Berr says the BBB members have never cleared gems or done crates.  If that’s the case, how did I manage to go into the tps?

BBB and other guilds have been doing gems and crates since deeplings was created.

However Berr doesn’t want to believe this.

Bound by Blood members who left the guild are now hunted because members of BBB killed Berr’s level 333 bot char.

It was a bot char because it took over an hour to kill it, during which time the char just moved from left to right and changed from mounted to not mounted.  He killed Kibar for killing him, however when advised it was because of his bot, he announced all of ex BBB will be hunted as well.

Bound by Blood will remain as the oldest guild on Mythera, that’s not going to change.

April Fools Day Joke

My post about the New Tibia Logo was based on an April Fool’s Joke. I’ll admit it, Tibia caught me. It seems to be the day for it as well. I posted a Time to Go post on Mythera’s forum and it took some time for anyone to realise it was an April Fool’s Joke.

Have you ever been caught out by an April Fools Joke on Tibia or in real life?

Tibia is asking the players to choose the new Logo Colour.  I can’t understand why they would want to change the current Gold Logo, however it’s been announced that there is a poll to see what the players want. I don’t want the change however I hope that neither the Pink or the Purple end up the Tibia Logo Colour. Tibianews has an article you can read about to know more. What do you think? Congratulations to Tibia for reaching it’s 15th Birthday.  CIP will be celebrating with a lot of activities and presents.

I’ve been playing since 2004 and I had a lot of fun for the 10th Birthday party so it’s great to be celebrating another milestone with Tibia.

There are a lot of celebrations being planned and CIP has been teasing us about what will be available.

The party starts on January 15.  Thais will be decorated and everyone who logs in will get something nice.

Old guilds,  older then Jan 5, 2007 , will receive a present.  Also the oldest guild on each server will also receive a present.  No idea what it will be but as Bound by Blood is the oldest guild on Mythera, I will be able to tell you what it is.  BBB was created in Oct 2007 so we won’t get the first present.

I’m looking forward to see what CIP does to celebrate their 15th Birthday.  What sort of present would you like?

The End of Neobot?

The maker of Neobot, Ekx, has announced that he’s closing down his infamous Tibia Neobot.  He’s given reasons including a new project and focus and the change in government in Canada which will bring about new Internet laws.  He’s getting out before he’s made responsible for the bot he created.

He advised that most bots will run out within the month, my understanding is players pay for 30 days at a time.  As he’s no longer accepting payments, then they will run out over the next month and they can’t be renewed.

Some players reported they have hundreds of days of access so Ekx is offering to allow them to use it on other accounts.

He has created a forum post that at the time of this post was up to 161 pages of

• botters upset
• asking for a new bot
• claiming it’s the end of tibia
• no more premiums will be bought
• who’s making a new bot
• they will quit tibia
• abusing the bot maker

and it goes on and on. 

Is this The End of Neobot?

Frankly, I don’t know.  It could depend on what laws are created in Canada, whether Ekx will sell the bot to another programmer in another country, what CIP will do about this news, what botters will do about this news and how desperate they are to get a new bot.

CIP very quickly put out an update which presumably is to stop Neobot working and amazingly! there are so many spawns free right after that update.  Will Ekx do one last update or will he keep to his word and not update it.

Will the End of Neobot caused changes in Tibia?  It’s too early to know but the post has caused mass hysteria in the botting community and they are all feeling persecuted and picked on.

I hope this really is The End of Neobot, however, only time will tell.

You get to Grab a Draptor! just for buying 6 months or 12 months of premium.

CIP is offering anyone who buys a premium account of 180 or 360 days a free mount – a Shadow Draptor.

I’m in a position that I can buy a 6 month so I will be getting my Shadow Draptor.

Whilst that’s fantastic for anyone buying or renewing premmy right now who loves to collect mounts, I can’t help thinking that CIP missed a great opportunity here.

There are players who have supported CIP for years, buying yearly or six monthly premiums and for this promotion, they will miss out on getting a Shadow Draptor.

For a bit of work on their part, they could have rewarded all their long term, long paying customers for their years of support.  I would be interested in how many people actually buy 6 or 12 month premiums and how much work it would have taken to just give them a draptor.  Even a special code appearing on their account page saying use this with Element 5 to get your Shadow Draptor – thanks for all your support shouldn’t be that hard.

They would have had grateful customers who would have been happy to renew their premiums AND gain new long term customers using this promotion.

CIP seems to treat their long term, long paying customers with contempt and until they realise that they are the backbone of the company, CIP will start finding out that these customers will just stop renewing for long periods.

I wrote about this on the forum for Grab a Draptor! and as it’s the weekend, there will be no responses till Monday.

The other issue with this was that the original article wasn’t clear enough and players were not aware that they had to buy this promotion through Element 5.

Once again, CIP failed with communication and many players bought 2 x 90 days believing that they will get the Shadow Draptors.

I’m anticipating that CIP will have a lot of cancelled premmies for this month, as players who bought recently 180 or 360 day premmies cancel them to rebuy and get a shadow draptor and as the many who didn’t know to buy from element 5 bought 2 x 90 day premmies cancel as well.

CIP doesn’t seem to have anyone who knows about customer service, customer communication and empathy for their clients.

Time for CIP to hire someone who does.
